This year, the Australian flag carrier Qantas is considered the safest in the world by Airline Ratings, which analyzed 385 carriers across the planet. It regains its position as world leader, which it takes over from Air New Zealand. Etihad, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines complete the world top 5.
TAP Air Portugal is the only European airline to be in the top 10.
To carry out its study, Airline Ratings notably took into account aviation and industry audits, safety initiatives, the number of serious incidents per company and the age of the fleet.
