According The tourist echo, the international airport of Tunis specified the conditions of acceptance of the national identity card for trips to Tunisia on scheduled flights. These conditions, which apply until October 31, 2023, are as follows:
– Traveling as part of tourist groups made up of at least 5 people (against 10 previously)
– Present booking and payment receipts from travel agencies (vouchers)
– Show a plane ticket (round trip).
If your identity card has expired, even if it is considered as still usable up to 5 years after its expiry date by the French authorities, it is better bring a valid passport to avoid any problems at the borders.
