Racing Shoe5 – The new collector’s edition of Renault sneakers
It has now been several months since the brand Renault decided to learn about Web3 by publicly revealing its R3NLT project.
After launching a very first NFT collection around the emblematic R5 model, the project is preparing to launch its new sneaker collector’s edition, Racing Shoe5, made of 960 pairs shoes.
It is not a question here of a simple collection NFTbut above all physical sneakers that you can wear in everyday life.
However, the particularity with these pairs is that they all have a digital double. That is to say a unique 3D copy of each sneaker stored directly on the blockchain.
Finally, the Racing Shoe5 collection will be available in 6 distinct designseach one being inspired by a different model of the R5 Turbo. But that’s not all, because beyond the design, the model itself transposes key elements found on the R5 Turbo, whether in terms of the back tilt sneakers, their interior or even their laces.

An NFC chip to certify the authenticity of the sneakers
Another important thing to consider is that each of the physical Racing Shoe5 comes with a NFC chip (Near Field Communication) which will act as a bridge between the real world and the blockchain.
This chip will allow holders to retrieve a second NFT : THE “digital passport” of their product. This NFT virtual identity card, comparable to a certificate of authenticity, will transmit all the information related to the shoes, namely their compositionTHE materials used or their manufacturing process.
As you will have understood, the NFC chips integrated into the tongue of each pair will allow you to certify the authenticity of these.
Racing Shoe5 – An immersive buying process offered by Renault
To mark the occasion, R3NLT intends to offer a immersive shopping journey for all people who would like to acquire their pair of Racing Shoe5 sneakers. Indeed, the sale of Racing Shoe5 will take place in the virtual world, with an immersive shop created exclusively for the occasion.

These sneakers will be accessible through the purchase of their NFT version at the price of 265€.
A first sales session, reserved for holders of the genR5 collectionwill be held on May 15, 2022. A second session will take place the day after, this time dedicated to people who have registered in advance. Finally, the public sale where absolutely everyone can participate will take place on May 17, 2022 on : nft.renault.com.
