If your train is canceled in the event of a strike, the SNCF will alert you by SMS or email no later than 5 p.m. the day before departure (if you have left your contact details) whether it is a TGV or a Intercities. Tickets can be changed and refunded free of charge.
In this case, before the theoretical departure time, you can by going to the SNCF Connect website :
– Exchange your ticket for free for another date;
– Request a full refund of tickets
On the SNCF Connect website or app, exchange or cancellation fees can be waived within 3 days of departure.
The exchange can be done by going to theticket tab : fill in the 6-character file reference and the name used for the order, and exchange or cancel your tickets. You can also use your customer account where all the trips booked are listed.
