The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced, at the last moment, 2 bursts of increases: since 1er May and from 1er June.
Entrance to the sites costs between 20 and 50% more.
A few examples: from now on, in the Theban necropolis facing Luxor, the ticket for the Valley of the Queens costs 120 instead of 100 LE, the temple of Medinet Habou 140 instead of 100. In June, access to the pyramids of Giza will return to LE 360 (from LE 240) and the Valley of the Kings at LE 400 (from LE 260), just like Abu Simbel; allow 300 LE for the temple of Karnak.
The price of the Luxor Pass will, in fact, also be revised upwards.
