The Thai authorities have announced the introduction of a tourist tax of 300 baht (8.5 euros) for air arrivals and 150 baht by sea or land, from June. Stays of less than 24 hours are not affected.
The amount will be added to the price of the plane ticket. People with residence permits should be exempt from this tax, as should Thai nationals.
